The rocky route to an airline command ...

I have no clue how to blog. Having recently published 'So You Want to be an Airline Pilot?' (one self-improvers route to an airline command), I was reading a site on how to promote ones own book which suggested blogging as an idea.

The book is all about me of course - though it does though recount what many of us have been through to get our 'rear-ends' into the left-hand seat of a jet. Most of us have some sort of story - been broke for years, hauled ourselves around Africa, flown through the night in battered piston twins or dodgy turboprops. I don't believe there's any other profession like it.

Any other self-improvers (ie; non airline sponsored/military types) out there? Let's have your name, basing and the type you fly. Cheers!
